Succulents and Roses

Succulents and Roses

The hardscape was in place when I was hired to design the plants in this Coastal Garden. Many boulders and retaining walls were added in the construction of this project which was completed by The Design Build Company.
The homeowners love roses and growing lots of fruits and vegetables. For the remainder they wanted Waterwise plants including some succulents without creating a “Southwest” style garden.

An early morning view of the Vegetable Garden and young fruit trees. Carissa ‘Green Carpet’, Agave attenuata and sedum confusum will shortly take over this slope.

The homeowner’s favorite color is Pink. We also used succulents with a pink hue in the walkway leading to the front door.

Kids play area surrounded by gravel and succulent plants to keep them from falling off the edge.

Beautiful stone wall underplanted with colorful perennials which will bloom in the spring.
