Bocce by the Sea
My clients lost many mature pine trees to the Pine Bark Beetle which removed their privacy screening. I selected shrubs that would grow quickly and provide the needed screening in the next few years.
The informal Bocce court received a facelift with a fresh coat of Decomposed Granite.
This existing wood wall is home to my clients collection of orchids and other favorite plants.
I love the Scoreboard for the Bocce Court.
The steps lacked definition and had a problem of soil washing down and covering the steps and the driveway. We installed some heavy cobbles and a french drain to remedy this situation. A waddle was left in place until we determine if the remediation was successful as we are expecting serious rain in San Diego this winter.
This bocce court is not regulation size but provides countless hours of enjoyment for my clients
My clients lived in Italy and Europe for many years and we planted 2 fig trees as they are their favorite fruit. A Brown Turkey and a Black Mission Fig, both excellent choices for the San Diego area.
This lovely patio is a quiet place to sip a cup of morning coffee and overlook the renovated gardens.
